Anand V. Hudli, Ph.D- Executive Director and COO

In 1985, Anand Hudli joined Wipro Systems and worked as a project lead for one year. In 1989, he joined as a faculty in the department of computer science, Purdue University, Indianapolis. During the next seven years, he taught several courses in operating systems, databases, compiler construction, systems programming and programming languages.

He has conducted extensive research in the areas of object oriented computing and distributed computing. Along with his students, he had successfully built a CORBA system using common off the shelf components.

Between Aug 1996 and Feb 1997, he worked on the development of client server system for handling customer service requests at Ameritech, USA. In the next six months, he worked as an independent consultant.

His assignments included

  • Development of a client server system for the foreign exchange trading system at Dow Jones, USA
  • Development of a client server system for the sales force automation for Boehringer Mannheim, USA

In Dec 1997, he joined IBM Labs, USA. He was involved in the research and development of high performance communication subsystem for IBM's SP2 architecture. He has invented technologies which are now patented.

He joined ObjectOrb in Jul 2001 as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for the entire operations in the company. He also heads the products division in addition to managing the testing team. He was instrumental in ObjectOrb achieving the ISO 9001:2000 certification.

Anand Hudli has a Ph. D. in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska. Prior to his PhD, he completed his Masters in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai.
